Skuno Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 January 2026

Leitkern Limited T/A Skuno (“Skuno”, “we”, “us”, or “our”) provides enterprise reporting and operations software for business use.

This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and share information when you use Skuno’s products, website and services (the “Services”). We aim to be transparent, proportionate, and accountable in everything we do with data.

1. Our privacy principles

We design and operate Skuno according to the following principles:

  • Purpose first - We only collect information that helps us run, support, secure, and improve our Services.
  • No selling of personal data - We do not sell customer or user data. Ever.
  • Internal use only - Identifiable data is used only by Skuno and trusted people working for Skuno.
  • Minimisation - We collect the least amount of personal information needed to do the job well.
  • Security by design - Protecting your data is built into how we design and operate our systems.
  • Transparency and accountability - We explain what we do, and we take responsibility for it.

2. Information we collect

We collect two broad types of information: identifiable information and anonymised or aggregated information.

2.1 Identifiable information

This is information that can identify an individual or a specific business user. We collect it only where necessary.

Examples include:

  • Name, email address, phone number, and role
  • Account and organisation details
  • Login credentials and authentication data
  • Support communications and requests
  • Technical information such as IP address, device type, browser type, and error logs
  • Audit trails and activity logs within the system

We collect identifiable information to:

  • Provide and operate the Services
  • Authenticate users and prevent fraud
  • Respond to support requests
  • Maintain system security and reliability
  • Improve product quality and performance
  • Enforce licence terms and usage restrictions (such as users, locations, and feature access)
  • Meet legal and regulatory obligations

2.2 Anonymised and aggregated information

We also generate anonymised and aggregated data that cannot reasonably be used to identify any individual or specific customer.

Examples include:

  • Total transaction volumes across all customers
  • System performance metrics
  • Feature usage trends by industry or market segment
  • Peak trading periods and throughput statistics

For example:

“On Black Friday, Skuno customers collectively processed over $100 million in sales, moving more than 100,000 items at peak rates of 1,000 items per second.”

This information:

  • Does not identify individual customers or users
  • Is used to improve our platform and inform our roadmap
  • May be shared publicly or with partners for benchmarking or research

3. Authority and purposes for processing

We process information only where we have a legitimate and lawful basis to do so, including:

  • Contractual necessity - to provide the Services you have subscribed to
  • Operational necessity - to support, secure, bill for, and reliably operate the Services
  • Legitimate business interests - including product improvement, licence enforcement, and service integrity

We do not process information for purposes unrelated to operating or improving Skuno.

4. Product analytics, session recording, and cookies

4.1 Product usage recording

Our products use session recording and interaction analytics systems to help us understand how the software is used and how we can improve usability, performance, and accessibility.

These systems may record:

  • User interface interactions (such as clicks, navigation paths, and screen flows)
  • General session behaviour and performance indicators
  • Error states and usability friction points

Before any session data is sent to these services:

  • Customer data is anonymised or masked
  • Personally identifiable information is removed or obfuscated
  • User-entered content is not recorded in an identifiable form

These recordings are used solely to improve the product. They are not used for advertising, profiling, or monitoring individuals.

4.2 Cookies and similar technologies

We use cookies and similar technologies on our websites and within our Services to:

  • Ensure the Services function correctly
  • Remember preferences and settings
  • Improve performance and reliability
  • Understand feature usage so we can improve the product over time

You can control or disable cookies through your browser settings. Some parts of the Services may not function properly if cookies are disabled.

5. Use of AI-powered features

Some Skuno features use artificial intelligence or machine-learning services provided by third parties.

When you choose to use these features:

  • Relevant data may be shared with third-party AI providers
  • The data may not be anonymised
  • The provider may receive sufficient contextual information from your data to generate an accurate response

We require AI providers to use this data only to deliver the requested functionality and not for their own marketing or unrelated purposes.

Skuno does not use AI to make automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on customers or users without appropriate human oversight.

If you are not comfortable with this data sharing, you should not use AI-enabled features.

6. How we share information

6.1 Customer references and public information

When you are a Skuno customer, we may publicly reference you as a customer unless you have agreed otherwise in writing.

This may include:

  • Using your company name and logo
  • Referring to you in case studies or announcements
  • Sharing high-level, non-sensitive information about product usage that is general, rounded, and reasonably inferable

We do not disclose transaction-level data, sensitive financial information, personal data, or confidential operational details.

6.2 Identifiable information

We do not sell, rent, or trade identifiable personal or customer data.

Identifiable information may be accessed only by Skuno employees and contractors working for Skuno under confidentiality and data-processing obligations.

6.3 Anonymised and aggregated information

We may share anonymised or aggregated information publicly or with partners where no individual or customer can be identified.

7. Third-party infrastructure

We rely on trusted third-party providers for services such as cloud hosting, backups, monitoring, security tooling, and customer support systems.

These providers may process identifiable information only as necessary to provide services to Skuno and are bound by confidentiality obligations.

8. Data security and incident response

We apply administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards including encryption, access controls, audit logging, and secure development practices.

If a security incident occurs that affects customer data, we will investigate promptly and notify affected customers where appropriate.

9. Data retention

We retain identifiable information only for as long as necessary to provide the Services and meet operational and legal requirements.

When a customer account is terminated, we delete or anonymise customer data in accordance with these retention obligations, unless we are required to retain certain information for legal, regulatory, or audit purposes.

10. Your rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information. We respond to legitimate requests promptly and fairly.

11. Customer responsibilities

Customers are responsible for ensuring they have the legal right to collect and process any data entered into the Services and that their use of Skuno complies with applicable laws.

12. Children and minimum age

The Services are for business use only and are not designed for children. Accounts must be created and used by authorised adults.

13. GDPR and regional limitations

Skuno does not currently support customers that are legally bound by the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). If you are subject to GDPR, you should not use the Services at this time.

14. Responsible security disclosure

Skuno supports responsible disclosure of security vulnerabilities. Information on how to report security issues is available by contacting security@skuno.ai.

15. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time and will communicate material changes clearly.

16. Conflict with other agreements

If there is any conflict between this Privacy Policy and a signed agreement with Skuno, the signed agreement will prevail.
